Frequently Asked Questions

Why join our CSA?

It's easy to sign up and fund your account. We have streamlined the process to ensure that you select the option which best fits your eating habits. For as little as $100 you can sign up for a trial membership to receive USDA Certified vegetables, flowers, herbs, blackberries and strawberries. Locally and seasonally grown, don't miss out on the very best Virginia has to offer. By funding your accounts in advance of the season, you supply us with funding necessary to buy seeds, plants, and cover other early season start up costs. CSA funding provides us with operating funds and keeps outside, costly financing to a minimum.

What if I can't use all my money during the year?

Not to worry. Your money stays in your account until you use it. Remember, discounts do expire on the last day of the calendar year.

I want to keep my account active but don't want to order during the current season. What happens?

Inactive accounts are charged a monthly fee of $3. Inactive accounts are those which have had no account activity for 30 days.

Can I increase my membership?

You can always add to your existing account balance. Special discounts offered during the early sign up period will not apply to amounts funded after the cut off of February 15, 2018.

Are there special volume discounts offered for produce such as tomatoes or fruit?

If we have an over abundance of produce, we offer special pricing on bulk orders. Please remember that yields are subject to the whims of Mother Nature. Bulk quantities may vary.
